De Vere Belton Woods is a PGA-Championship approved golf venue in Grantham set amongst over 475 acres of Lincolnshire countryside. When it came to refurbishing the 19th Hole Restaurant Bar, De Vere turned to hotel fit out specialist Revo to co-ordinate the project, and as main hotel refurbishment contractor, undertake the construction and joinery, together with the installation of a new mechanical and electrical installation.
Revo has worked with De Vere on many precious projects and therefore understood the high standard required at Belton Woods. The 80 cover, 19th Hole Restaurant occupies some 160m2 on a single level and the contract included a strip out, followed by a restaurant fit out with all new case-goods and joinery plus door, ceiling and wall finishes. Existing carpet finishes were replaced with granite floor tiles to complete the restaurant interior design.
A number of bespoke features were created for the 19th hole. Revo sourced stone cladding to create, what looks like, a hand built natural stone wall within the interior, other walls were either painted or had paper finishes. The installation of a gas fire was undertaken along with an extractor system and associated services. The single biggest item was a timber bar with a zinc worktop. This top had an eight-week lead time and was not available during the three weeks build schedule. To enable the bar to reopen on time, Revo installed a temporary top while awaiting delivery of the zinc top.
