Revo are proud to have been given the opportunity to work on such an exciting project at this iconic London hotel. As a hotel fit out contractor, Revo’s project involved assisting with world renowned glass makers Lasvit and interior designers MUSE in delivering a new “lighting centrepiece” to complete their hotel lobby interior design.
With it being a live working environment Revo erected 20lm of 4m high floor to ceiling hoarding, with windows. The ceiling was removed and a new ceiling coffer with recesses for LED strip lighting created. This was plastered and painted to give a reflective finish, holes were cut to take the 55 downlights and 556 fixings that carry the blown glass spheres. New wiring was brought into the coffer, dimmable LED downlights and LED Strips installed.
This exciting project at the illustrious Grosvenor House Hotel, the pinnacle of luxury accommodation, was at late notice and the project is summed up well by the Engineering Director at GHH, as follows.
“Revo were called upon at the eleventh hour to assist with the installation of our elegant new ceiling feature in the Main Lobby of Grosvenor House, a sensitive live environment to work in and on a tight timescale. Some unforeseen challenges were dealt with efficiently and without fuss by Revo. Their excellent communication and attention to detail enabled the project to be completed ahead of schedule. In conclusion, many thanks to the team for their contribution to creating this amazing feature. Grosvenor House Hotel would happily work with Revo again.” Gordon Ormond, GHH Engineering Director.
