Revo were given a unique opportunity to carry out a refurbishment project at the Barbican Centre; one of the world’s leading arts centres that features all the arts – music, theatre, dance, cinema, the visual arts and education – all under one roof with one creative direction.
Revo’s role as the room and bar refurbishment contractors included refitting the theatre dressing rooms, members bar and stage door reception. The work involved installing new entrance doors and reception desk, redecorations, providing full Mechanical and Electrical services, replacing flooring, installing a new lift and fulfilling a requirement to match existing listed finishes in both the Members Bar and the theatre dressing rooms.
“We were delighted to be awarded this contract to refurbish areas of the Barbican, which is such an inspiring and vibrant venue for both creative and business use,” said Philip Basford, managing director of Revo Ltd.
The project was completed within the contract period ready for the re-opening of the theatre in December 2009.
